THE BPGC STORY
1953
Bukit Panjang Gospel Chapel (BPGC) was founded in Singapore in the 1950s. It started when a member opened his home at Woodlands Road to start a Mandarin Sunday School Ministry.
1955
A Hokkien worship service was started at 106 Woodlands Road, catering to 20 - 30 believers living in the vicinity of Bukit Panjang.
As many of the young people attending were English-educated, the worship service became partially bilingual. With assistance from Bethesda Gospel Hall, meetings in English were started as well.
1966
All worship meetings moved from Woodlands Road to 12 Galistan Avenue.
