WE BELIEVE [in] ...
1. The divine inspiration, authority and sufficiency of the Bible.
2. The unity of the Godhead with the distinction of Persons;
namely the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
3. That Jesus Christ while being the eternal Son of God,
truly became man, begotten of the Holy Spirit and born
of the Virgin Mary; that He was crucified on the cross;
that He was buried and raised from the dead on the third
day; that He ascended to God; and that He will come again.
4. That in consequence of the Fall, man became lost and is
at enmity against God; that he is also without strength
to do the will of God.
5. The need of the Holy Spirit's work in regeneration and
sanctification.
6. That the justification of the sinner before God is by
faith in Christ; that every justified one is also born
of God when he repents and personally accepts Christ;
that the new birth results in and is made evident by
holiness of life and good works; that all believers
are baptized in the Spirit and so into the Church.
7. At death, the spirit of man does not cease to exist
or become unconscious. The believer enters into the
presence of God eternally and the unbeliver into condemnation.
8. The Church is a spiritual organism comprising all who
are truly believers. Christ Himself is the Head of the
Church which is His body, and members are responsible
to Him for personal growth, for mutual care and for
witness to the world.
