Great is Thy Faithfulness, O LORD!
Miss Nancy Wee gave her house at 12 Galistan Avenue for church use in November 1958 (the ownership of the house was transferred by Deed of Gift to the Trustees of Bethesda Hall in 1966) and the church started off as a Sunday School in 1959. The average attendance was about 30. The late Dr Lee Keng Chin, an elder from Bras Basah assembly, became the first superintendent. In December 1963, it was officially registered as Bukit Panjang Goespel Chapel.

Elder Tommy Cheong
Our late Elder Tommy Cheong was seconded from Bethesda Hall (Bras Basah) to help in the work here in October 1965. Sunday Service began in the following year with the transfer of the Chinese Assembly from Woodlands Road to here. Then the first English Service was held on February 1967 with about 20 believers. The church became autonomous on 1st July 1969.
The church was gutted by fire on 28 February 1972. A tent was erected for our services whilst it was under construction. The new building was completed and dedicated to the Lord on 24 November 1973. The church was again renovated to add an extension in May 1982. On 16 October 1987, the church was incorporated as a public company limited by guarantee. In June 1988, another extension was built. The church remained that way since then, with minor changes.
At present, we have an average weekly attendance of about 250-300 in each of the English and Chinese assemblies.
